Handcrafted using all-natural eco-friendly materials at Bumble & Cotton, our Bird Nest Balls are made of grapevines and then stuffed with our llama fiber.

Hang outside on a tree branch, fence or hook for the birds to pluck out and carry away to build nests for their young.

Bird Nest Balls can be hung outside year round and even when it rains, as the llama fiber repels water and dries quickly, retaining its original softness. Do you have bird feeders? Hang a nesting ball or two near your feeders, the birds will find them easy that way.

Do not worry, our llamas here at Bumble & Cotton were not harmed while gathering their fiber. Every springtime our happy herd is gently sheared which we do annually at springtime so they do not overheat in the summer. So they are all for this idea!

Helps Keep Birds & their young Warm & Comfortable
+ Llama fiber is naturally temperature-regulating, insulating, and moisture-wicking - dry or wet
+ Most birds construct nests purely for the purpose of holding their eggs and chicks. However many species will use a nest year-round as a place to sleep, and nesting balls are a lovely way to add warmth and comfort

Healthy for Birds & Environment
+ Our llama fiber is all-natural, unwashed or treated, won’t attract predators, and is completely biodegradable
+ Many birds breed and lay eggs in the spring, but some begin as early as winter, some lay their eggs late in summer, and yet others breed and lay year-round

Sustainable & Repurposed Fiber
+ We use llama fiber scraps for our nesting balls that are unsuitable for yarn or clothing
+ Gives us the ability to utilize all the fiber produced by our herd
